Come one, come all.
Interestingly enough, Celinda Lake's commentary usually makes better reading and worse news for Democrats.

I just got the Gallup Tuesday Briefing. President Bush's approval ratings are holding at 73%.

That's a good summation of your opinion. (Geez, I can't remember the last time there was a bad poll about GW-- it's been a while.)
To: IMRight
Ouch! That's gotta rip the hearts out of the Dems. What's the source? Is this also from the same poll? (Yes, I'm too lazy to access the link.) :-)

{I mean, is someone actually suggesting that on the weekends righties are gone and lefties stay home?}) Well, actually, this phenomenon has been known for many years (no joke) - at least that righties don't answer their phones on weekends nearly as often.

If the poll shows bad news then the poll was "taken on a weekend (I never understood why this matters??{I mean, is someone actually suggesting that on the weekends righties are gone and lefties stay home?})" or the poll was "biased" or the poll was blah blah blah. That's pretty much exactly what people are suggesting, and there are solid demographics to back it up. Republicans/conservatives are more likely to be older, married and with children, while Democrats/liberals are more likely to e younger and single. The married with children people are out on the weekends, doing things with their families. The young singles are more likely to be home to answer the phone for pollsters. Any pollster who ignores this factor does so at his peril.

After reading "Mobocracy" by Matt Robinson, I don't give a flip what the polls say anymore.

Looks like gjpino is getting their posts cut out. Not to bright anyway, from the looks of the repeated quotes in other posts on this thread. Obviously a disruptor. gjpino is getting cut out of other threads also.

Can't get to the poll or commentary.

I was referencing the 2000 elections, when polls were all over the place.
Polls that showed it to be a dead heat were trashed on this forum for the reasons I stated.
The only "valid" polls were the ones that showed Bush ahead by 6-8 points.
I totally reject the "righties are less apt to answer the phone" on weekends. Where is the evidence for this?
And on the other hand, people who do NOT have phones are more likely to vote Democrat and are NEVER included in these polls.
