Why wouldn't they? How long you've been here is completely relevant in evaluating your opinion that FR is falling apart since you've been here.

You are sort of correct. But what if I was a lurker for 4 years and only just recently signed up to start posting? Or, what if I was booted from FR because I attacked a Bushbot? So - checking to see how long ago someone has registered does not really give an accurate account of how long they have been on FR. Just my opinion.
