Don't give up hope. I don't post as much because of time constraints. There are lots of new posters that are unaware the federalist papers exist. Us 'seniors' have to help our 'juniors'. (no slams intended, at all!) Seek out the informative government posts.
The link Larrylied provided was outstanding! We need to help, whether it's through a thread, through a post or through freep mail. Likewise, our younger conservative posters can help us understand their position, afterall, they are going to be the leaders in a few short years!

Hey! Word invention of the week! (Assuming it means what I think it means....)

What's the biggest dissapointment for me regarding FR is the lack of participation on constitution or government related type threads. I am with you. It amazes me sometimes how little comment is on some of the more important threads or at least I think the Constitution and Government related type threads are important.

"ever since this morning's brief outage, every time I come here I have to log in anew" I'm glad it's not just me, only I've been having that problem for 3 days.

The person in question violated the CLEARLY STATED guidelines and is not here to do anything positive. I am here to be positive and promote the conservative vs. lib message. Of course, we are all not right wingers - I am more moderate but what I do appeals to the swing voters whom we need to WIN ELECTIONS; so I'm no less of an equal than the true right wingers and they are no less of an equal than I am.
Finally, Free Republic is not a boxing ring - we must remember that, fellow freepers. Disruptors just can't find anywhere to be miserable and they don't deserve to be here. FV

Cheese and moose seem to be more important.
Eenie meenie, chili beanie, the spirits are about to speak...oops! I was thinking more of moose and squirrel... ;)

Just wanted to make sure y'all saw this thread....informative AND entertaining.

No sir, thank you. I missed the thread and your defense of LiFers in general. I'm glad I was invited - I found a few old friends and made a few new ones. This is a great site, but I miss the posting tagline. Many of the best comments were found among those hidden gems.

I agree with you on most parts except for the bashing of Republicans. Many of us are under the impression that the liberal agenda is being progressed quicker while the republicans have been in power.
In my lowly opinion, conservatives should hold the Republicans feet to the fire when they sell out core conservative principles (FREE SPEACH, LESS GOV'T). I think there should be plenty of leeway granted to people who have different conservative views than the poplular opinion.
Just my two cents.

(P.S. The road to Damnocratic hell is paved with Republican't good intentions...) Versus the third party doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell yet? Whatever our conservative political leanings, conservativism is dead if the liberals take control. And don't give me the RINO talk. We will have a greatere chance of true conservative reform with the republicans as we would with the democrats. Do you really believe Dashcle will advance a conservative agenda with a stronger liberal senate given to him by a third party vote? Get real if you think that a third party will advance conservativism right now. The third party will happen if and only if the republicans wimp out with a majority. Until then, it ain't going to happen. I'm a realist, and reality says it won't happen. Not with a liberal house. At least the republicans will have a say in who heads the committees. We can work on the RINO's after that. We will never be able to root out liberals with a liberal house and senate. They have too much power. Now is our opportunity to change. I really wish those who feel otherwise could see the big picture.

Personally I laugh every time I see WiMom's "cheesehead". I still want to thank you for my tax-cut - you and your friends got the government to return $600 of my money. I support our military (my neighbor got back yesterday), and I support the Constitution - yet few want to actually discuss it.
