Watergate sleuth Carl Bernstein has been basking this month in the 30th anniversary of the notorious break-in, appearing on countless television shows and journalistic panels to discuss his Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation with partner Bob Woodward, which famously resulted in President Richard Nixon's resignation.
But now two of the 58-year-old Bernstein's former personal assistants are trying to bring his victory lap to a crashing halt. They say Bernstein bounced paychecks and borrowed money while living high on the hog.
