"
Let's face it: Elizabeth is a blonde, white girl. Alexis is black." Bill Cosby is still black last time I checked and his son's death got a lot of press. All things being equal and the black family had money or could articulate to the press, they would get the coverage. Think not? What if this were Jesse Jackson's little girl?
If this white girl was poor, ugly and didn't play the harp, she would not get any press. That is sad....but not racist. BTW, remember Twana Brawley?????

Cosby was a celeb, that's true. But my point was, this is just more evidence of the
Bias that Goldberg's book was so deft in pointing out.
There is currently at least one little girl missing here in Houston. She's hispanic. Know what? I can't even remember her name, because aside from a few stories in the paper, it has gone entirely overlooked.

Also, regarding Tawana Brawley: If a photograph of Alexis showed up at a TV station, showing a man dressed in Klan robes standing beside the bound and gagged little girl, what do you think would happen?
