Officers say millions of dollars are lost every year due to California residents not registering their cars to avoid fees and insurance requirements.
The California Highway Patrol is cracking down on drivers with registration violations. This week, CHP officers will be on the look-out for violators throughout the state. They will be paying close attention to out-of-state plates.
