The funny thing is the downtown liberals and the unions look down upon Valley residents as a bunch of yokels and yahoos. So why then do they want to keep the Valley inside Los Angeles? Its not because they love Granada Hills or Northridge --- its one word --- MOOLAH. They fear without it L.A will lose its place in the liberal constellation as America's biggest city. The bragging rights along with the power are supremely important to these folks and that's why they're opposed to secession.
