June 24, 2002 -- A suicide bomber was behind the massive blast outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, that killed 12 earlier this month, Pakistani officials said yesterday.
Investigators first thought a remote-controlled car bomb was used in the June 14 attack.
