When President Bush nominated Robert Mueller to become FBI director last summer, the choice received glowing praise from Democrats and Republicans alike. But patience with Mr. Mueller must be wearing thin now that he has accepted an invitation to deliver a June 28 address to the American Muslim Council (AMC), a defender of terrorist organizations.

Let him speak there. Let's see what he has to say. What he says is what matters.

Indeed. I am most definitely interested in what he has to say to those people. However, if his remarks under-cut the administration position, he should be fired post-haste. It is time for the FBI to get serious.
