A Life Destroyed (A Victim of Palestinian Terrorism)

My fellow FReepers,

I received the following e-mail today. The Palestinian terror campaign has finally had a deeper impact on me, since this was the friend of someone I personally know. This is only one of many sad and tragic instances, but I thought should share this with you.

Dear All,

On Wednesday, a friend and colleague of mine was killed by a genocide bomber at Givat Tzarfatit on her way home to Eli. Her name is Gila and the link below is dedicated to her.

Although we live here with constant day to day attacks, things only really hit home when someone you see on a daily basis is killed. I would say more but the pages speak for themselves.

Please take a few minutes to read the pages.

This was such a sad e-mail. Too many young people have been brutally slaughtered by the barbaric practices of Palestinian terror groups. The ones that are still living cannot live "normal" lives because of these animals. Take some time and visit this website.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she, and all victims of terror, rest in peace
Amen

These stories are so heartbreaking. A very sad, but thoughtful post. Thanks for posting it.

"Genocide bomber" is an apt description. Better than homicide bomber.

Condolences, I know what it's like to suddenly lose a friend, and it's real rough when they leave a family behind.

One engineer who modified the Patriot missile to intercept Scuds and helped protect Israel was killed by a drunk driver not too long after the gulf war (maybe two years or so).

I'll still never forget the handshakes and kudos he got when those first missiles intercepted the Scuds. We all had a little bit of a high that day.

This is so damn sad. Every day...more. The best and the brightest.

My family and I, wish Gila's family and friends, the strength to cope with their devastating loss.

May Hashem, in his mercy, "bless you and keep you, may he cause his light to shine upon you..." Amen v'amen.

Hashem? I've never seen this term for God before. What does it mean, and from what faith is it from? (it sounds like a term from Judaism)

It literally means "The Name". This is done so the actual name of the Almighty will not be used in vain.
