Note, this is not reported at the URL cited above. On "The McLaughlin Group" this weekend, Pat Buchanan, when asked if he was Deep Throat, said something to the effect that he did not hang out in garages and that he believes that Deep Throat was a fictional composite source...I guess this was a denial...
TOPICS: Miscellaneous; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: buchanan; deepthroat; watergate
Anyone else saw this?

Deep throat was made up by those cartoon characters Woodward and Bernstein. They wanted Nixon's hide and they didn't care how they got it. Too bad they didn't care about Clinton's crimes half as much.

"Deep Throat" was John Dean himself. Woodward and Bernstein were never able to reveal his identity since it would impeach the validity and integrity of what was going on in the Congressional hearings - remember, John Dean was the star witness against Nixon!
On January 3, 5 and 7, 1973, days when the Cuban-American Watergate break-in defendants were going to court to be sentenced, John Dean arrived at Arlington Towers' Madison Building to visit them in their 7th floor apartments. He carried a large black valise with him. Jack Anderson had an agent in the main entrance closet listening in.
I encountered Mr. Dean in the elevators early in the morning on all three days. H. R. Haldeman parked his infamous old car out front of the main floor.
If there's a composite, it's Dean and Haldeman!
And that garage? The description given in the book matches the real garage in the Jefferson Building at Arlington Towers. I don't recall seeing Pat Buchanan lurking around the garage.
Everyone note for the record that in Woodward and Bernstein's book the month of January 1973 DOES NOT EXIST! I have sent both notes asking why they deleted that month and never received a response.

At the risk of being crude, the word picture conjured up by your headline made me ill, until I remembered the Watergate angle.

Well, if there's a bright side to all this - the Nixon/Clinton comparison exposes the Left as a near-criminal bunch of sanctimonious and hypocritical mafiosi - who deserve no quarter nor consideration of their attacks concerning ethics, a subject they congenitally understand only as a battering ram.

Buchanan also was on some CNN or PMSNBC show and the anchor kept after him, saying something like "that's not a denial."
Finally the host said, "Can you say, 'I, Pat Buchanan, am not Deep Throat'?"
Pat blinked, then said, "I, Pat Buchanan, am not Deep Throat."
Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Buchanan Denies Being "Deep Throat"... I find it hard to believe that if Pat Buchanan were in fact Deep Throat that the media (Woodward & Bernstien) would not have leaked that information to destroy him during these last few years.

I always thought "Deep Throat" could have actually been a hooker. You never know what the big money donors told their ladies in the call girl ring.
