ReallY? So a CEO of a large corporation has the luxury of saying, "O.K. everybody back to work", but a small buisness owner has the moral responsibility to send everyone home for the day?

A business is in no way comparable to a tightly-knit baseball team. OTOH, a smart executive in a small business WOULD send employees home out of respect.

There are as*holes in every walk of life, of course, who would probably dock a dead guy's last check a half day if he died at lunch.

Agreed - If possible, of course. Some small buisness owners are literally fighting off bankruptsy on a day to day basis. I would cut them more slack that a large corp. or a MLB team.

Hey, I think I've worked there. :)

Two words: Cantor Fitzgerald.
