Its a game...try to keep that in mind.

These days they have entire teams of wussies and, it seems, the fans to match. You and Marge Schott seem to have a lot in commmon -- when an umpire died on the field during Opening Day a few years back, she was annoyed that the game was cancelled!

Hey tough guy, why don't you go over to Wrigley and tell them all that. I'll bring the beer.

It's just I lived through so many Daryl Strawberry headlines..... And he's still kickin'. Unbelievable.

These days they have entire teams of wussies and, it seems, the fans to match.Several reasons why they did not take your tack on it:
- Practicality: The Cardinals would not be playing AT ALL reasonably well. The loss of their pitcher would be on their mind at all times.
- Pragmaticism: The relief pitcher was not ready to take the place of a dead man.
- Respect for the dead: When the main man in any event dies, you cancel the event for at least a day.
- Common Decency. 'Nuff said.
I shouldn't be having to tell you all this. You should know already.

Where are their other pitchers? Learn the sport, then open your mouth.
