A Brooklyn rabbi vowed Friday to launch gun-toting patrols around Jewish neighborhoods after a new terror warning about possible fuel-tanker attacks.
Earlier this week, Rabbi Yakove Lloyd had scuttled his plan to deploy armed groups to guard against terror attacks. But he said he is renewing his controversial initiative, starting Sunday.
Lloyd said he revived the patrol plan after the FBI issued a warning to police officials to be on the lookout for terrorists who might use fuel tanker trucks to attack Jewish schools and synogogues.

I wonder if they will be using Galil's or Uzi's (Uzi Galil)with Samson ammo?

A coordinated attack by stinger-missile wielding terrorists on Air Force refueling aircraft during takeoff could impact military operations, and pose a grave threat to thousands below. In addition, there is a nuclear power plant in the south west that is within 40 miles of such a refueling base. Refueling planes carry up to 30,000 gallons.

Possibly Desert Eagle pistols. Those are supposed to be quite interesting, especially the .50 cal pistol. Either way, Good show!

I wonder if they will be using Galil's or Uzi's (Uzi Galil)with Samson ammo? I hope neither if they intend on hitting any targets they fire upon.

Rabbi vows to resume patrols in wake of fuel tanker warning (NYPD will arrest vigilantes) As I have said befor they are a militia not "vigilantes."
Amendment II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Looks like the Rabbi is Standing Tall...

Thanks for the post. After at first seeing the Rabbi cancel his plans, it's good to see that he and his supporters have decided to stand up for their God given Rights.
As New York gun laws are totally unconstitutional to begin with, this would be a good time to challenge those laws.

The New York Police Department said that any armed vigilantes would be arrested, but Lloyd said his group would not be deterred.
"We are ready for arrests and we have money for bail," the rabbi said.
I'm disappointed with the NYPD. After so many of their own died on September 11th, they have the nerve to arrest people who are trying to defend themselves against more terrorist attacks. Thank God the good rabbi is exemplifying the Boy Scout motto, which is "Be Prepared." Not only are they prepared for those who are willing to destroy them, but they are prepared to do what it takes, including gathering bail money, so that their community is defended. God bless these people!

The State of Kansas has a long and rich history of vigilantism and it's after effects.
Simply put, the local police often were 'unavailable' when the local militia acted. The worst offenders were dealt with, the rest of the undesirables warned, and the local press pretended to be outraged for some time, as a warning to the 'sporting crowd'.
Sometimes, the merchants, judges, police, preachers, and bankers in the 'Vigilance Committee' even wore neckerchief masks, so they could say they didn't 'recognize' anyone.
