WASHINGTON -- Members of President Bush's party are criticizing him for concessions he may offer the Palestinians as part of his long-awaited speech on a Middle East peace plan.
House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., said Thursday that he ''will reserve judgment'' on the president's plan until he sees the details.

Heh. The Democrats are against Bush on this, his own party is against it. Oh well. Another one term Bush presidency.

Hopefully, this idiotic idea will be shelved before Bush commits political suicide.

House Majority Whip Tom DeLay, R-Tex., is not waiting. He is lobbying against U.S. recognition of a provisional Palestinian state unless the Palestinians stop attacking Israeli citizens. Tom is still the man!

Over and over, it is said that Israel must give up land for this so called Palestinian state. Why is there never a mention of all the land Jordan took? Not to mention the thousands they killed (Palestinians) in doing so? Along with that, I have even heard the suicide bombers called freedom fighters so many times on every major news media outlet. Do freedom fighters kill innocent school children at every turn?...

Memo to President Bush:
What part of, "The Palis won't be satisfied until all Jews are dead" don't you understand. And you want to give them money?

Back in 2000, I was greatly offended at the Left's sliming of Gov. Bush's intelligence. I always said they were wrong, just as they were with Quayle and Reagan.
While the Left was wrong with Quayle and Reagan, I am beginning to reevaluate their position on GWB.

House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, D-Mo., questioned whether it made sense to propose a Palestinian state ''while barbaric suicide attacks on Israel continue now on a daily basis.'' You know a bad moon is rising, when even Gephardt catches on to 'Voodoo Foreign Policy'.

I've noticed that if you even so much as HINT that you disagree with Bush's policy here, you'll get run out of town and possibly even tarred and feathered.
Heck, you might be insulted with the percentage of the electorate that your supposed candidate got in the last election (The implication being, I suppose, that your ideas must be lousy since so few people voted for them. Funny, but no one ever thinks about the fact that people are more than willing to choose in DROVES policies that are inhumane, unworkable or just down right stupid, e.g., Europe, especially Europe of WWII era and Germany in particular)
