Israeli TV to Air Fox News After CNN Bias Charge, Ha'aretz Says
Tel Aviv, June 20 (Bloomberg) -- Yes Ltd., Israel's satellite broadcaster, will air News Corp.'s Fox News as an alternative to AOL Time Warner Inc.'s Cable News Network because of complaints that CNN is biased, Ha'aretz said, citing the Israeli company.
Yes will continue its CNN broadcasts. Its decision to air Fox News follows published remarks by CNN founder Ted Turner, equating both Palestinian suicide bombings and Israeli air raids on the West Bank as forms of terrorism. Turner, the vice chairman of AOL Time Warner, said in a statement yesterday he regrets the remarks, and CNN executives condemned them. Yes, a satellite broadcasting unit of state-controlled Bezeq Ltd. that competes with cable television, said it signed the contract with Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox News yesterday. Viewers complained CNN reports are too sympathetic to the Palestinians and critical of Israel, the paper said, citing a Yes spokesman.
Israeli Communications Minister Reuven Rivlin said CNN ``has broken all the limits and red lines in the way it covers Israel'' and Turner should be considered ``persona non grata'' if he tries to visit Israel, Ha'aretz said.

It's on cable. Do you subscribe? If you do and your cable company doesn't carry it then it may well be worth calling them.

Why not try DirecTV, more selections and much better picture.
Sounds like you and I have the same type of cable service ... surly and uncommunicative. I really would like to have Animal Planet as well.

I have a TV on my desk at the office (I'm in the stockmarket) and I turn it to Animal Planet during the day sometimes and love it. (I love animals). But when I get home Adelphia only has the Weather Channel instead of AP.

Digital sound with the right receiver and digital picture, although not HD but good enough until HDTV is more affordable for me.
So I won't have any trouble decoding AC3?
Yes, from some of the better receivers currently on the market. I think all you need is a receiver capable of decoding it.
Even though I can't do it with my cheap receiver, I still get a decent sound, clear, sharp, and 3-D.
