The mark of the beast can be in your "forehead" if you don't question evil, indulge in sinful thoughts and if you accept the world's lies instead of seeking God's Truth.
The mark of the beast can also be in your "right hand" if you accept money (as in cross my palm with silver!) that is tainted by wicked intent or sell out on your principals for cash and profit!
The Bible also says that those who have God's Mark in their Forehead will be spared.
Is the MARK figurative or literal?
Time will tell!
Corrie Ten Boom put it this way:
"Today you can read all the signs of the times, not only in the Bible but also in the newspapers. Our generation will live when these things happen, when the Lord comes. He is coming very soon."
She wrote this 25 years ago. She is now with the Lord, but "our generation" includes us today.
I recommend all of Corrie's books, especially her little devotional book, called "Each New Day."
She writes: "I believe that you who read this book can be ready for Jesus' coming. Why? Because all that had to be done was done on the cross.
Her prayers:
"We look forward to your coming, Lord, although we know we will have hard times before we see You." and "Thank you, Lord, that Ephesians 1 reveals to us that You have allowed us to know the secret of Your plan, that You purpose in Your sovereign will that all human history shall be consummated in Christ, and that everything that exists in heaven and earth shall find its perfection and fulfillment in you."
The hard times are coming - fast. Each of us is advised to "be ready" for what lies ahead. The best way I know to prepare is to to spend time in prayer. Even amidst the trials that are coming on the world, God is at work and will lead each of us through as we are yielded to His will and plan, not our own.
This ID card is just one sign of what is to come. Of course we must oppose it with all our might....we must. But, those who wish to enslave us will not stop until it is done....or there is bloody resistance. Either way, it's hardship ahead for us all - all who love freedom and for those who love God. The only thing I can do right now is pray - and write.
