Actually with a biometric card they could easily require it with all transactions the government could abolish cash on grounds that its "untraceable" and aids criminals. And require that all your personal transactions go with your own personal biometric card. Just imagine, whenever you buy something, your new National ID Card inside your drivers license will tell computer networks exactly where you are located at that moment.

No, they won't care. You and the other 15,000 people that passed by the antenna in that hour are effectively anonomous. It's to much data to deal with.

Let me suggest that everyone here get the new liscense and then each month you trade the liscense with another "protester".
Establish a "Napster" like server that matches people wanting to trade.

Now I know your thinking "identity theft" and your right unscruppulous persons will try to use your card for establishing a line of credit, bank account, etc.
But with the address on the chip all the paperwork will come to you and you should be able to nip it in the bud.
If they try to establish a new address at the local drivers liscense shop the fraud will be found due to non matching biometrics.
What I'm trying to do here is using the strengths of the card against it.

I've seen quite a few stories about a sub-epidermal chip, and not just from Christian conspiracy theory sites, but on sites like MSNBC.com, if I'm not mistaken, and even on the O'Reilly Factor, who never brought the religious objection up. Worthynews.com used to have a collection of links to news stories about it, from places like the BBC, etc. You can see the technology in development at DigitalAngel.net - trust me, I'm all for scientific progress, but this would be used for what the book of Revelation describes, I believe, hence I would NEVER take a chip under my skin, EVEN if I were in the US Army, as I hear they are doing, which they should not.

I don't think a small chip would be rejected by the immune system its not analgous to an organ implant its more analgous to a metal plate in your head except it would be smaller( much much smaller) so its even less likely to be rejected then a metal plate in the head.
