Your reasoning sounds a little bit like the thought processes of moral relativism. It's different I know, but it's like saying 3,000 people died in New York? So what, that many people die of hunger every day.

To me, it is flawed reasoning to say that every kidnapping case should get the same media coverage. I don't think it should. Chandra Levy got even more media coverage and nobody seemed to blame the attention on the fact that her family was rich, white, democrat, religious, or what not. We all know that it got the attention it did because of politics and nobody seemed to care. She wasn't even an innocent little girl, like these other two cases.
