A reporter on Fox interviewed and then quoted Emunds' friend, who runs an escort service. Name of that friend was not given. Sounded like the friend was female.

They learned about it at 11 am SLC time today.

They are getting search warrant for the car.

FBI is there with him guarding him.

SLC will be sending people out to WV.

No interview has been done yet.

Not necessarily -- remember how they scooped the "real" papers on Clinton and Jackson dirt? Until someone can point to at least a plausible connection between the info in the NE article and Elizabeth's abduction, it's unlikely that a legitimate news outlet will publish the info, even if they have solid reasons to believe it's true. But you can be sure they've got their flunkies hard at work trying to dig up such a connection.

The media is still claiming that the Milkman saw Edmunds in the area.

Edmunds in ICU, he is critical. Police Chief is worried they might be able to question him.

They are in the process of getting a Search Warrent now.

What we've read on FreeRepublic about the NE article makes me ill. However, the NE has been correct on too many things to discount it, assuming that this article is in fact in the next issue. If there was ever a time for them to be wrong, this is it!

Dad was disraught, tearful, crying. Mom was not there. From what I've seen of the Smarts, they've been poised, for the most part, in front of the cameras, doing interviews, giving press conferences. Their emotions have been tightly controlled until today. I wondered what triggered off their unleasing of their emotions. If they knew that they had caught Edmunds--and law enforcement would tell them first--without Elizabeth, they were back in shock, the way they were right after Elizabeth disappeared.

Police seem to be making alot of having the car in their custody.

Also Edmunds is in serious condition. They may not be able to interview him.

Hospital called mother first due to the number that edmunds gave, mother did not know they were talking about but figured it out that it was her son. The police do not know if the mother turned him in.

They have looked in Edmunds car and truck, elizabeth is NOT in the car.

U.G. i'll stand by my previous statement that this guy has nothing to do with the
girl's abduction... i think the cops just took advantage of the attention to get him.
he was a down-and-out who slept in his car... and did so in the avenues. after the
girl was abducted, he moved to draper to sleep in his car, but there is nothing to indicate that he
had anything to do with Elizabeth's disappearance... and the slpd and fbi say the same.

otoh, i pray for this girl, and her family... this is so sad.
