An update was just posted, saying that there have been no additonal "hits" by search dogs on South Mountain......the post was immediately moved to "General Interest." Are we going to have to start going over there to get our updates???

What happened with the search this morning? Can't find any news about the dogs hitting on something in the construction site.

Types_with_Fist posted a CNN update a while ago, saying there have been no additonal "hits" with other dogs. The post was moved to "General Interest"........sighhhhhhhhh.

It's really tiresome reading posts from people like you who believe the mainstream media, chapter and verse, and expect the rest of us to.

One of the main features of this forum is a healthy, intelligent cynicism about whatever the press puts out. Remember Clinton never had sex with that woman? The announcement by network tv that Gore had won Florida? The reports in the press that Enron scandal could be laid at the door of Dick Cheney? (It all happened on Clinton's watch.) And just this week, the NYTimes article about the TWO kinds of school vouchers available in Florida (slamming Jeb Bush), refuted by freeper "summer," who knows there are THREE kinds of vouchers, insuring that poor kids get a great break. And on and on.

So get a grip. We know the family is being torqued around by the FBI, etc, to say certain things. We know that the PR on this case is lousy, too. Something is rotten in SLC, and it's the nature of Free Republic to discuss it and present OTHER ideas and theories...if you don't like it here, go to another forum dedicated to nodding your head in robotic agreement with everything the mainstream press puts out.

Meanwhile, I continue to hope and pray that Liz is alive and will be found.

FOX news just had update..said the authorities are questioning Edmunds and are questioning his coworkers in SLC--probably asking the same questions to both. Maybe more updates to come from UtahGirl if she's available today?

Was not Edmunds an operator of heavy equipment for the street department? Would he have access (and skill to operate) bulldozers, backhoes, etc? If he were culpable for Elizabeth's disappearance and thus probable demise, seems to me he would have ample opportunity and know-how to dispose of the evidence.

This is exactly what was discussed on the thread last night/early morn. I don't know what happened to that thread. I expected to find out this morning that her body had been found. I guess no news is good news. Hope the reports last night were wrong.

From all accounts, Edmunds sounds like a pretty marginally functioning character. Remember that thousands of searchers were on the ground immediately after this story broke. I find it difficult to believe that Edmunds could have used heavy equipment on an active construction site to dispose of a body without being detected. I think that if Edmunds does have any real connection here, it will be peripheral. I just don't think that he is functional enough to have been closely involved in the successful abduction and hiding of Elizabeth. Of course, I suppose it's possible we'll find out that some of the "facts" on Edmunds have been misrepresented......at this point, who knows?

I have heard nothing about the search dogs hit on a scent last night. It did rain here. I had to come into work today, so just watched a bit of the news this morning. I saw no mention of the search dogs at all. If I hear anything, I will do an update. I'm off to lunch and report what I have found at work...

Fox said they got 3 hits on her SCENT; but who knows if that is true; the reporters are making as much news as they are getting, IMO.

A friend in Utah who was on this morning's search said that the cadaver dogs found NOTHING! I hope it's a correct report.
