I heard Cunningham yesterday. We don't have the show live in Milwaukee, so I don't know if he's on again today or not. I sure hope not. Yesterday was enough for me. How Rush would let someone like him substitute is beyond me.

It appears that EIB comes down two different satellite channels. One station that barely comes in here in Omaha is carrying Dr. Williams, while KFAB (Blowtorch) has Cunningham. Very odd.

Williams may be entertaining and considered intelligent by some, but he came off on his opening monologue as both a totally uninformed jerk in addition to being subject to a lower class I.Q.

I am referencing his opinion that the mentally retarded are "crazy." He was doing this when referencing the SCOTUS opinion the other day regarding capital punishment and the mentally retarded.

Mental retardation and mental illness are two separate conditions. Indeed, a mentally retarded individual may have the cognitive ability of a five year old, yet know right from wrong. Are we, as a society, going to condone the execution of five year olds. Of course not.

Neither should we condone the execution of adults who are so retarded such that they have the cognitive abilities as a child whose age would prevent us from executing. This is just common sense.

Williams is exhibiting an ignorant perception of the mentally retarded that I have not seen or heard in years. For those of you out there who have never seen one of my posts, and I rarely post, I am extremely conservative in my views, especially capital punishment. But I also have an older brother who is severely mentally retarded (I am his custodian now that our parents are deceased) and am somewhat knowledgeable regarding this subject matter.

At least he did not call them "retards."
