I don't trust the national parties to divvy up the pie fairly (to include challengers), and further, I don't trust ANYTHING that McManiac is pushing.

The proposed fee would be about 1 percent of broadcasters' total gross income, and would hardly make a dent in their profits, said McCain. It would be a “return on the public investment” broadcasters enjoy through countless subsidies and tax breaks, he said.

I'm glad the good Senator can make decisions for what amount broadcasters' profits are acceptable... I mean, why trouble the shareholders with such things?

Now that McCain is dipping into their pockets, I wonder if the media will be the cheerleaders for MF2 the way they shilled for MF1??

Well he's correct about it not making a dent in their profits as the networks will pass it on to advertisers who in turn will pass it on to you and I the consumers, imo.

McCain has tv ads in Arizona for "Campaign Reform".

Not exactly charismatic. Nor compelling. Stinks actually.

Makes the channel selector switch attractive.

The proposal drew quick criticism from those who say it offers no incentive to incumbents and national parties to decrease the billions they pour into campaigns.

Ain't that the truth. The money saved on TV time will be used for guess what? - MORE TV TIME. Duh...

No, McLame is 'determined to get this done' before the left side of his face is completely swollen up like a cantaloupe. He looks really bad, guys, in case you haven't seen him lately. The cancer may have metastasized. Or super-sized. Or something. Right now, he looks like he's carrying a good sized lemon inside his left cheek.

You're just getting my hopes up, now. Any chance of metastasis? One can only hope, and watch.
