"The very laws of Islam make it impossible to coexist with any other religion, or even secular way of life." Your quote or am I mistaken?

Your comments please on Jews, Christians, Moslems living together, worshipping as each pleases, with respect, in peace, working and playing together, and with peaceful and friendly discussions on each's religious history?
And paying taxes for secular local government?

There you go again, misrepresenting what I wrote. I did not write that Christians and Jews find it difficult to live with each other because of their religions. Why would I do that when for both of those religions their second most important commandment is to 'love ones neighbor as one loves one self'. It's Islam that find's no support within it's own Koran to co-exist on equal terms with those of other religions, or those who chose no religion at all.

I wrote that the "Shari'a (Islamic law)" forbids coexistence with other religions, and I will add that it considers any person but a Muslim to be an Infidel and that the "Shari'a (Islamic law)" councils conversion even if forcible or death. I am sure that there are many Moslems in westernized nations where the Shari'a (Islamic law) is not the state law, who are able to choose to modify the terms by which they live their religion. But the underlying current and force of the religion, the orthodox statements in the Koran and the Sharia (Islamic law) are as I stated earlier, above.

In countries that are not yet officially ruled by Shari'a (Islamic law), yet support a close majority of Muslims, there are constant political skirmishes involved in fighting off the change to Sharia (Islamic law). Please see post #19, "Turkey's messy political system suffered another jolt today when the country's highest court banned the religious-oriented Virtue Party. The court said the main opposition party violated a law that prohibited religious activities that could undermine the secular government."
