GAZA, June 20 (Reuters) - Two Palestinian militant groups rebuffed on Thursday an appeal by Yasser Arafat to cease violence against Israeli civilians and said such attacks would continue as long as Israel kept killing Palestinian civilians. Representatives of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which have carried out many of the suicide bombings in the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation, said they considered their attacks to be acts of self-defence under Israeli occupation. "We are in a process of legitimate self-defence. Israel is the one that kills innocent children and women. This war has been imposed on us by Israel," Nafez Azzam, a senior Islamic Jihad leader, said after the Palestinian president made his appeal following bombings that killed 25 Israelis in Jerusalem. "Why should Israel be allowed to strike us in Nablus and Qalqiliya (in the West Bank) while we are denied the right to strike them in Tel Aviv and Haifa?" said senior Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi. "You cannot ask someone who is being slaughtered day and night to tie his hands and not to defend himself." Israeli forces say they have targeted only militants in the 21-month-old uprising.20 JUN 2002 12:46:24 Militants rebuff call to end attacks on Israel

"The names have been changed to protect --?"
Because you are the AGGRESSOR! Israel will not attack you if you stop attacking them. Therefore, if you do not cease attacks, you, and your related terrorism groups should be destroyed.
