JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia - Saudi Arabia will not allow outside investigators to question al-Qaida suspects who tried to shoot down a U.S. military plane, according to a report in a government-controlled newspaper yesterday, a day after the kingdom announced its first such arrests since Sept. 11.

The daily Okaz newspaper said access to the 11 Saudis, an Iraqi and a Sudanese will be limited to Saudi authorities because "the crimes that they committed or planned to carry out occurred or were going to take place on Saudi territories."

Could this be because they would expose Saudi complicity in terrorist attacks?

Saudi non-cooperation merely emphasizes the importance of the coming Russian and offshore African oil developments, as well as development of fuel cell technology in the US. We should also greatly expand nuclear energy. Our goal should be to drive the cost of petroleum energy as low as possible.

The Saudis will execute them, then we'll get to see them.

"Saudi Investigation" is like "hamburger steak" - a contradiction in terms ... but this should be no surprise, since they did next to NOTHING with regard to the Khobar Towers attack, much like Yemen with the USS Cole attack ... and on, and on, and on it goes ...

The Saudi's make me sick! With friends like these who needs enemies? They raise money on TV for terroist groups, they let their men kidnap American children and hold them hostage against thier will, they contridict every policy our government makes and yet we still classify them as a friendly country.
They are more like the mob who is friendly as long as we buy thier oil.

I am anti-nuclear because I am afraid of the waste, but hell - anything is better than sending my hard earned money to those bastards. I'm willing to compromise - if you we stop buying from Saudi Arabia, I'll let you build 20 nuclear power plants in my back yard.

I wish we could boycott all Saudi oil now (Buy only from Mexico and South America) and tell those MotherFer's to F off!!!!!!

There's enough oil in Mexico and Russia; the latter being better friends than the Saudis ... at least letting us use some of their bases ... Saudi Arabia has never been an ally of the USA ... not once, not ever ...
