A heavily-armed man shoots three people of another race at a big-city bar - and it isn't front-page news in every "mainstream" daily for days. It probably wasn't even on the front page of your "mainstream" daily the day after. Why?

It's hardly just for the reason that a gun-rights group said the next day - Monday - that such an incident happening in New York City in spite of that state's notoriously-draconian antigun laws showed that gun laws don't prevent "headline crimes." After all,a recent "school shooting" by an expelled ex-student in Germany got far more coverage in America's "mainstream" media!

The explanation is simple - and was hinted at in London's "mainstream" dailies. That deranged assailant - Steven Johnson -was crazed over his affliction with AIDS and his wife's recent death from it this March. According to New York-area law enforcement sources, the Greenwich Village bar Johnson picked to attack, Bar Veloce, is heavily a gay and lesbian bar - although straight people do go there for dinner. One other detail makes this incident too politically-incorrect for either the "mainstream" media outside New York City to dwell on or the antigun lobby to try to exploit: the wannabe mass killer was black and was ranting that he wanted to kill European-Americans.

Recently when there was a bogus report of a racial dragging incident in Alabama the lamestream media went into overdrive posting the story until the true events emerged, the victim was a victim of an enraged girl friend who stabbed himin the buttocks, not white racists who tried to drag him behind their truck. Now here are some indications why a much bigger crime story, the murders at the Veloce Bar in NYC, were dealt with in such a summary manner. The crime and its perpetrator were unpc.

Don't forget about the Wichita horror: two men rob four or five people, forcing them to withdraw money from ATMs, then rape them, then force them to engage in sex acts on one another, and finally, put a bullet into the heads of each one. But, one woman survived, called authorities, and the perps were arrested. For some reason, this mass killing did not make national news, even though it was a gun crime, etc. You can guess why not.

Let us judge all by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Clearly those who engage in evil are from all races and any double standard regarding crime and reporting of crime does harm to all people. The simple truth is what we need and anything less is a sign of manipulation.

3 Shot in racial attack in NY

New York -- A heavily armed black man allegedly shot three people and tried to set patrons at a Manhattan bar on fire before being wounded by officers and arrested in what police said was a racially motivated attack.

Steven Johnson, 34, was charged with attempted murder after what Police Commissioner Ray Kelly described as a "very bizarre" crime by this deranged individual.

Johnson was carrying three loaded guns, 153 rounds of ammuntion, and a samurai sword when he approached four white people walking in the East Village at 2am yesterday and said: "I have a problem with you," Kelly said.

Johnson shot one man and followed him as he ran into the Bar Veloce. Johnson sprayed the bar crowd with kerosene and shot two more people. He was jumped by two women when he pulled out a lighter, and then was arrested by police, Kelly said.
