Bill Cosby who's hit NBC television sitcom idealized family life throughout the 1980's has some harsh words about America's favorite openly disfunctional family, 'The Osbornes.'
'First of all you media need to stop with this Ozzy Osbourne.
This is a sad, sad family; it is a sad case.
The children are sad and the parents are sad,' Cosby tells entertainment show 'Access Hollywood on Thursday, June 20.
'This is not entertainment.'
While many think audiences respond to the MTV series based on the misadventures of Ozzy and crew because it shows that even the rich and famous suffer the same complicate family dynamics as the hoi polloi, Cosby says that enjoying it is akin to 'laughing at Tiny Tim.'

Ever here of the slippery slope? And they did it too is hardly a justification for anything, much less that inane show. Look, I'm by no means a prude, and even break camp with conservatives on certain social issues, but who needs more trash TV? However, if the market demands such mediocrity, I'll just change the channel.

And MTV will be there to capture it all...

Possibly. I am probably the exception. My mom was a true American rebel. I was the good girl. As opposite as night and day.

Slippery slopes are make believe things that people use in order to convince people to their viewpoint.
What is on TV is a response to what people want to watch.

I didn't see the post you were replying to but I think you are talking about Rachel? (RW San Francisco, I think. With Puck?) She is (was?) a Republican and Catholic. Married now to another Real Worlder, with one daughter and another child on the way last I heard.
I don't know if Rachel is Cuban or not. Pedro was though.

As have noted already, it's been abundantly proven I didn't know Cosby from Grandma Clampet

A Has-been is one who no longer attracts an audiance. Has-been is a word reserved for people like Bratney Speers,N-suck,Eminem,and all those other dime a dozen rap groups that I'm sick and tired of hearing about.
