I agree. But when Ted Nugent said the same thing, he was laughed at, and
cursed at by Sharon Osbourne

Again, has-beens dont sell out every show they do.
Has-beens play local bars and small clubs. Not to crowds of 30,000 plus.

That chick is higher maintenance than a Ferrari. No matter what's going on in the looks department, putting up with a drama queen gets old fast. Agreed. I read an interview with Kara (sp?) in one of those FHM/Maxim-type magazines. She's the short one with curly hair. Says she almost got kicked off by producers for smoking pot at a party.
She's high maintenence too.

Of course you disagree. Contrary to what you mkight think, Khoury was nearly unknown for decades until he died. Cosby was talking about the Tiny Tim character in the Dickens story. Laughing at the misfortunes of the obviously brain damaged Ozzie is analogous to laughing at the character Tiny Tim. That's the only analogy that makes any sense. Herbert Khoury was ridiculous, whether or not he was trying to be funny.

Needless to say he put them down and apologized to my sister and brother-in-law. The whole story is quite amazing, and he probably hasn't liked white kids since I hope your sister and brother-in-law apologized to him, too. BTW: I wouldn't bother telling this story anymore. It may make folks think poorly of your family.

Is that the one who sleeps with someone every third episode?
By and large, I'd imagine that it's the "black holes" of need and attention who try out for these shows.

If your more scared of The Osbournes than terrorist attacks you need to reevaluate the situation. Not scared of the Osbornes.. But it's frightening when anyone says this is normal. I see our society accepting more and more smut and calling it funny or normal and yes this is maybe not more scary but as scary. There is more than one way to destroy our society.
To: Twodees
But the analogy is out of context, Tiny Tim of Dickens is not a 'funny' character.
Tiny Tim of Johnny Carson era fame was a competitor of Cos in the entertainment and the comedy field..
To: gdani
She's alright, I have also heard that one of the 'Real World Sorority Babes' was having an affair with one of the producers.

Smut? I saw every episode of The Osbournes and didn't see any smut. What "smut" did you see?

No, I don't believe he IS Huxtable.
I do know that he had a big hand in the program.
I do know that his values are quite in line with Huxtable's.
Anyone who reads his books or listens to his humor or reads anything about him at all knows that in terms of conservative values, family values, lived values, honorable behavior etc. the guy is WAAAAAYYYYYYYY above the rest of Hollyweed and most other "stars" of any kind.
The man did a good job with his kids. The man seems to be a great husband. The man did good with his career. The man is strong on education, responsibility, honesty etc.
Why wouldn't anyone of any honor, integrity or conservative family values support Cosby?
In terms of issues, have you ever met anyone--besides Jesus--who didn't have issues? . . . including the person in your mirror?
But I'm curious, if someone thinks or feels differently than you do--is that the time you feel compelled to label them as having "issues?"

Look, Oz is a burned out, brain damaged rocker with a screwed up family. Just becase 100,000 people throw money at him doesn't make him great. There ar lots of idiot celebrities in Hollywood where sheeple worship at their feet. Does this make them good or great? No, it only means that there are a lot of sheeple that will worship any act or goofball that comes along. It only means that these sheeple are complete idiots. All the money in the world wont fix Oz or his f-ed up family.
Personally I watched one show, and think people that think he's hysterical are easily amused.
Kinda sad watching this 50 year old walk around babbling and being goofy. I couldn't understand what all the people were getting excited about. LOL! Easily amused. No Oz is a has-been and just because a bunch of people throw money at him doesn't make him any better.
Just my opinion.

Heheehe! The Huxtible family was such an illusion for the 80s. It was like watching the Brady Bunch- all sugar-coated and baseless in reality. I guarantee there are more families like Ozzy's than the Huxtibles.
To: Joe Hadenuf
In the entertainment world, a has-been is someone who can no longer attract an audiance. I don't see why your having such a problem grasping this.

I used to love the Cosby Show and believe the hype about Cosby the family man, until I heard the stories in the buisness about the womanizing and the sexual atmosphere on the set.
Cos would come on and make passes most of the beautiful women around the set, this just wasn't one 'mistake-' the illegimiate child.
Micheal Landon was no saint as well and treated his family poorly as well at times..
To: sakic
The guy cheats on his wife and condemns the Osbournes for their poor family values. Cosby is an ahole. Neither one should be held up as a role model for anyone but I would prefer the Huxtible role model family before the Osbornes.
For heavens sake.. This is MTV. When anyone even watches MTV I question their judgement, but with as many who watch it and defend it as normal... Well, what more can I say. I will admit the Osbornes aren't the only trash TV program. It's surprising what some people bring into their homes. If you had a guest who talked like a lot of people on TV you probably wouldn't invite them back or even ask them to leave, yet you turn on the switch and invite these people into your living room week after week. It's amazing..
I was always taught the eyes are whe windows of the soul. Everything you view goes directly to your soul.
And then again I was raised in a generation when what happened to your soul was important.

Whats so conservative and family values orientated about Cosby? His race card playing? His extra-marital affairs?

Picture Pages....grab you pens and pencils
To: Texas Mom
I guess its better to invite Falwell who says that gays, lesbians, and feminists caused the Sept. 11th attacks into our homes.
And the Huxtables are FICTION. Got that, FICTION.
To: Texas Mom
I think you also should take Dan Quayle off your guest list. He likes The Osbournes.
