Anybody know what the polling data looks like regarding reparations? My guess is that most blacks realize reparations is a crock and would oppose it.

For all those disenfranchised
AFRICAN Americans who wish
reparations $10,000 and a one way ticket to Zululand would be appropriate.
Monies saved in welfare and housing costs would more than compensate for the outlay.

I want reparations for all the time I worked and paid taxes that went to welfare, a way of life for those who have time to attend nonsensical rallies.

If they do they will lose more white democrats than they pick up in black votes. I would really like to see them do it.
Imagine, go to a state, any state, and ask the democrat that is running if they support reparations to ... whatever the largest non-black majority is. They did this to Davis in Cali and got him saying that the Chinese and the Hispanics should be able to participate. I believe he went so far to mention that it 'did not matter' if your relatives were actually victims, but the mere fact that you live in our society where you are 'disadvantaged'....
Really great stuff. Add to it the legal scholars they will put on Fox to debunk the stupid legal arguments (What they teach in public school today as history will never hold up in court)... and they would get destroyed. BRING IT ON, maybe we will get a ruling that affirmative action is unconstutional.
I have to say that the Tobacco suits really embolded the Dems to push judicial activism to its pinnacle, it is about time that someone shut it down. This lawsuit is so stupid that it may be a blessing in disguise.

Only thing that scares me is that if Bush is willing to substadize housing for blacks, then he'll probably pay these jackasses reparations.........Bush also wants to include the "poor immigrants" in the housing deal. Is it really that improbable for some Mexican group to start a reparations movement also?

What if we actually did pay African people in America reparations?
In a legal sense would that not make them whole
Therefore African people in America could no longer ask for anything else, their case would be over. No more free lunch.

"The abolishment of slavery was really a constitutional scam and the 14th Amendment that allegedly made African people citizens of America was imposed on us. We were never asked if we wanted to be citizens." Actually, your ancestors were given the option of becoming citizens or moving to Liberia. They choose citizenship.

Since there are no former slaves or slave masters around your option will not work. So I propose that reperations be paid in the currency of the time used by slave masters.
Confederate Dollars.

I don't think the "go back" argument is flawed. Not when you consider the mindset of those demanding my money. They dont think of themselves as Americans. They truly do think of themselves as African first and foremost and they truly believe they are "from Africa".

And it will happen only over the rest of our American dead bodies. Count on it.That could very well be the case.

I am simply pointing out that black people are no more monolithic than white people. 91% voting for Algore is pretty monolithic.

Peterson added that "so-called civil rights leaders" like Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan have encouraged a culture of dependency among African Americans instead of self-reliance.
Peterson said he especially wants to encourage white Americans to protest those calling for reparations and "not have the fear of being called a racist" for doing so. However, he said, "As long as you give into these people, there is no stopping them. There is no end to their destruction if we don't stand up to them with truth."
The "truth," Peterson said, is that reparations are "a bad idea in that it is divisive, it is racist, and it's another form of using black Americans to gain power and wealth."

"We were never asked if we wanted to be citizens." The only US citizens who did ask for that blessing are legal immigrants. There is not a citizen born in the United States who asked for that privilege. Not one.
