A friend of mine told me last night that Ed Asner and a few other “Hollywood Commies” wrote an open letter criticizing America for striking back after 9/11. They also say that President Bush does not speak for all Americans and his decision to attack Afghanistan was a knee-jerk reaction. Supposedly the letter was published in an English newspaper.

Did anyone else hear about this?

I'll never forget Edward Asner, Lee Grant and other leftist washed-up Hollywood second stringers picketing the State Department in support of the Sandinistas a day after the Communists in El Salvador had murdered four American soldiers having drinks at an outdoor cafe. Charlton Heston was there and confronted this low rent bunch and received a wave of obscenities in response. The Democrats, of course, hired the aging bozo Assner to narrate anti-Bush telephone messages to old folks in Florida on Election Day containing all sorts of lies about Social Security.
