[history]
Is there no end to the ridiculousness emanating from Mary Frances Berry's Commission on Civil Rights? Her personal political playground has just been ordered by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to pay Emma Monroig $160,000 and reinstate her as staff solicitor.

She runs the Commission like Mugabe runs Zimbabwe.

"President Bush has the power to replace Ms. Berry as Chairman and it's past time he did"This would appear to be a no-brainer. This lady is a bad joke...

C'mon. I know all black folks look alike to the eds of the WSJ, but there is no excuse for re-using their file picture of Alex Haley.

M.F. Berry.....if you know what I mean.

President Bush has the power to replace Ms. Berry as Chairman and it's past time he did to spare the Commission, and the country, further embarrassment.
Bush - "This is a very difficult decision for me, knowing the animosity that Mz Berry feels for me persanally, but I simply cannot abide a Civil Rights commissioner who personally (and repeatedly) violates the civil rights of her employees. To restore credibility to this important oversight group, I am appointing Walter Williams (or Alan Keyes) to the post."
Don't pinch me.... I like this dream.

Mr Kirsanow is a breath of fresh air to this commission; I hope one day to see Ms Thernstrom as chairperson.

President Bush has the power to replace Ms. Berry as Chairman and it's past time he did to spare the Commission, and the country, further embarrassment. More likely he will double her budget.

I like the idea too. But, would add Ward Connerly to the list of who could run the EEOC effectively.

Oops, I meant the Civil Rights Commission. Sorry.

President Bush has the power to replace Ms. Berry as Chairman and it's past time he did to spare the Commission, and the country, further embarrassment. If he can ever get out of Barney mode.
To: Paul Atreides
I thought that she was off the commission (via a court ruling) and that Peter Kirsanow was now chair, at least that is the story I read last month. What gives?
