Greenville Police said a man pretending to be a Steak-Out delivery driver pulled a gun on homeowners at a Watkins Road house.
Lt. Mike Gambrell said the incident began when a real Steak-Out delivery person drove to the house to deliver an order. When he got out of his car, a man standing in the yard came over and paid for the food.

Note to delivery man...next time (if still employed) make sure you take food all the way to the door yourself.

The delivery man thought it was the customer living at the address. Though this is the first time I've heard of a home invasion robber posing as a delivery driver. Moral of story: never open your door to strangers and if someone claims to be a repair person or delivery person to have them wait while you call their work place to verify who they are and if they do work there. Same with the cops. It could save your life.

Sure ya do.
