I don't mind paying a little extra for comfort.

I don't either, most of the time. I started a whole 'nother post on this thread and deleted it.

My whole point is, it's easy for people without weight problems to say "just stop eating" or "stay off the airlines." It's just not that simple.

Middle-class WASP males and overweight people are the two classes of people for whom it is still acceptable to discriminate against. I happen to be both.

My job no longer requires me to fly (I used to fly 3-4 times a month). And I avoid certain things because of my size (like rides at amusement parks with my sons, etc.).

I'm not whining. I've dealt with this all my life. I just get po'd when people make fat jokes. (you didn't, I'm just ranting)

My biggest problem with losing weight is that I'm not sure I even want to be a skinny person. They're so damn irritating.
