Gotti: 'Italian' Clinton Would Have Gotten the Chair

"Teflon Don" John Gotti, who received a massive funeral send-off from New York City crowds on Saturday, once told his brother that prosecutors had given President Clinton a pass, complaining that if the Sexgate perjurer had been Italian, "they would have electrocuted him."

Gotti, it turns out, became an avid news junkie while in prison, where he followed the Monica Lewinsky scandal intently.

Just days after news of Clinton's affair with Lewinsky exploded, Gotti caught a broadcast of Gennifer Flowers' famous audiotape in which Clinton urges her to lie about their affair during an employment discrimination hearing.

According to Gotti's brother Peter, the "Teflon Don" surmised, "He's telling [Flowers], 'Why would you want to bring this out? If anybody investigates, you lie.'"

That was Clinton's signal to Flowers that he could "get to" any judge, the Gambino crime family chief told his brother, who later revealed the insight to the New York Daily News.

Gotti's personal verdict on President Clinton? "If he had an Italian last name, they would have electrocuted him."

Clintoni? Perhaps, but just wishful thinking on the part of many. Janet Reno would have gotten him off.

Priceless . . . and so true! I am convinced that's why Robert Blake is going down. I think the guy is as innocent as our president is great.

What's he talking about? Gotti himself had an Italian last name, and they let that scumbag die of natural causes.

The victim whine is pretty pathetic coming a multiple murderer.

"they would have electrocuted him."

They'd need a lot of juice for Slick Willie.

I believe Clinton knew how the game is played, He had Mena under his belt already, which got him into the bipartisan corruption team.

Gotti (and the other mobsters) probably still haven't got a clue that they're just Useful Idiots for the big boys.

There was a story sammy gravano told. Gotti at one point thought about trying buy a pardon from Bush sr. Sammy stated, no president would sink so low as to sell a pardon. I can only guess how angry Gotti got when he thought about clinton.

Gotti is a scumbag. All mafia members are. They are low life scumbags. But Gotti's conviction was brought about largely by giving Sammy "the Bull" Gravano- who had admitted to 19 murders- a walk! 19 murders, including his own brother in law! And the guy walks? All so some Federal Prosecutors and careerists at the FBI could put Gotti (whose power was vastly overblown) away and make some headlines?

Given the revelations in Boston about how corrupt the FBI is recently in relation to protecting the Irish Mob at the expense of the Italian Mob- I have a jaundiced view of both the Justice Department and the FBI. There are a lot of other reasons as well. Gotti- sitting in prison- dying of cnacer- I trust more than the FBI now.
