Why does this bother everyone so much? Americans eat pork, the French eat snails and fish eggs, the Arabs eat camels. I rather eat camel meat than snails.

The only reason why I can think of that people might consider eating camels gross, is that camels are transportation...they do work for us. We don't eat horses or donkeys or mules. But otherwise, a camel is just a dumb herding four legged mammalian herbivore. In that sense, it is more disturbing to eat pigs and bear than it is to eat camel.
