Why do all the sleaze balls of the world wind up in Florida?
What did we ever do except to charge for the sunshine.

Right near Cape Canaveral.
Similar story:
Grower says he saw man sought in kidnapping
...He [Baxley] said he had seen the guy's picture in the newspaper and that he had a goatee and shorter hair now, but that he was sure it was him," said homicide Agent Gary Harrell of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. "He seemed credible to me."...

Watch it.

Wonder if they are around Scottsmoor.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
That's nearby. Why you ask? I'd guess by your profile page you from Oregon? Good list of WTC memorial links, by the way.

Sounds like when they spotted Chandra Levy in Las Vegas last year.

Sounds more like a thirsty gay couple on their way to the Keys.

Why do all the sleaze balls of the world wind up in Florida? It all has to do with the out-of-proportion number of DamnYankees who have infested the state.
We moved to Mississippi in 1987 to get away from the bastards.

I would suggest in future we use Elizabeth's Smart's name instead of "Utah Girl," since there's a prominent FReeper who goes by that screen name.
It's invariably confusing!

Originally from Oregon and some years there in adulthood as well. but mostly Florida. (Volusia County). I love to fish the flats in Scottsmoor for reds, snook and trout.

Law enforcement officers had better not be profiling by only looking for white males 6'2" and 235 lbs. They had better be stopping 55 year old black females and hispanic men 5'4" that weigh 135 lbs.

This is vaguely similar to the Oregon Missing Girls case. There was a note that was found in FL in the water that some thought might have been written by Ashley Pond or Miranda Gaddis. It was found somewhere between Canaveral and Ft. Lauderdale. Turned out to be nothing, unfortunately. Too cases from the west with these possible leads all the way in FL.
One papar stated today that Edmunds was not a suspect, it's all very strange. I suspect that whole thing was a red herring.
Thanks for the update and prayers for Elizabeth as always.

Salt Lake City Police Detective had a brief press conference to show a hat that, presumably, Elizabeth's sister was able to give a description. It looked like a golf hat. The detective said it was tan in color. Somehow it doesn't sound like a transient's style.

What can you do with 2.5 gallons of orange juise besides drink it? Loaded with citrus acid, pour on the body to speed decomposition.
I assume this was State Rd 3 south of the Space Center? or north close to the beach?
To: Utah Girl
Correct me if this is wrong, but wasn't the car in question a LIGHT green Saturn? The FL guy twice specified DARK green so what gives?
To: txrangerette
This is MY opinion only. I don't think it is Edmunds. He was spotted in south SLC Wednesday afternoon, the license plates to his car were found late Thursday afternoon, and apparently from the article, the owner of the grove tipped off the police on Thursday sometime. The timing just doesn't fit. Again, IMO.
