We just returned from our outing....went to the Fish Tale Pub, for lots of freshly brewed draft beer, and had nachos and a Mediterranean platter of appetizers...when ready to leave, we ordered our growler of beer to take with for our home consumption...well, when they poured it out into our growler bottle, they hollered like they sometimes do, that they broke the keg(meaning we got 3/4 beer and 1/4 foam) because it was the bottom of the keg...so when that happens, you get your growler of beer for free...so that was a nice Fathers Day Gift...than onto the Apollo Pizza for more beer, and some great pizza...we are stuffed full of good food and great beer...a fun evening
Thanks for the pics of the rivers, and Villa Louis...brings back memories
My Dad loved the Mississippi River...whenever dad had a three day weekend, we would pack up the tent, and head out for a few days of fishing and camping along the Mississippi...he had a few favorite places he liked to go, but he was always happiest, when fishing in the Mississippi..
I never had any girls, so dont how it is raising them...had the two boys, and just loved it...I guess, because I was always more of a tomboy, and a wicked one, than I ever was the neat prim little lady...
I was raised with one brother, and my two male cousins lived downstairs, and most of the kids in our neighborhood to play with were boys, so I guess I just thought I was one of the guys...I did whatever they did...
So raising two boys was easy, tho those teen years can turn a parent grey rather quickly...ah, but the good thing is, the teen years last only just so long, and most teens and their parents come through it just fine, tho at the time, you think you will never survive it..
. Sometimes it is just plain hard being a mom...
What makes it hard for me is I have 4 brothers and no sisters. Like you, I did all sorts of tomboy stuff. Now, with the girls, they fight over clothes, nail polish, the phone, everything.
