Sneakypete, I'm afraid our comments are falling on deaf ears (or in this case, blind eyes). The person seems to insist that everyone is jealous of Michael Jackson and wants to be him. I think I wasn't completely grown up until I realized that there are people in this world who, whatever their protestations to the contrary, have completely closed minds. My own grandfather was one of them, and in fact, he was the very 'man' who woke me up to this fact. He also deepened my commitment to my values. Negative people CAN teach us. They teach us what not to do, and they show us what can happen if we carry certain 'values' to their extreme.

Wealth and fame does not equate with a person's intelligence and morality. Powerball winners are rich and famous. Alex Kelly was nouveau riche, and famous for rape. Some would have us believe that their wealth and fame make them smarter than I am. I fear for our country if that idea is widely held. If I really cared about money, I'm sure I could make a fair amount. If I really cared about fame, I'd do something to ensure it, like sending mail bombs or something.

Oh well, I've got a garden to tend to. It means more to me than having my mug on the cover of Rolling Stone, any day of the week.

Yup. It's no different than trying to reason with a Cliotonoid or a Bush-Bot.
