Could it be a space alien's baby?
To: Yeti
Fine by me, so long as you post a mea culpa if... Will do.
To: AppyPappy
Hard to say. They had at least 10 neighbors in the house before the police arrived.

A perfect example of liberal thinking in action.

I think all the CTists have jumped on this threadWhere have you been? I've been theorizing like mad since the beginning and so has everyone else. As you say, in absence of facts, freepers are duty-bound to speculate. At this point, it almost feels like a contest to be the one who figures it out.
If they already knew who took Liz, that would also explain why they don't want sketch artist. I'm gonna stand on that until the next shred of real evidence knocks me off. LOL!
To: Iwo Jima
Could be right about the sketch artist.

..IMO..that family does not want anyone to speak with the 9 yr. old. SHE MAY TELL !! They may be afraid that if the perp knows she saw his face he will harm her. Or he may act rashly out of fear of being caught.

Question.....

I think we should have a thread of FReeper theories about this case, once the truth is known. The truth is out there...

A perfect example of liberal thinking in action. Yeah. Poor guy-he can't help himself. He probably has some childhood "issues". Let's go easy on him, ok?
To: TheDon
There is no reason not to have a sketch done -- none whatsoever. If you decide not to release it, fine. That's a different call. But get the sketch done. Even if the little girl didn't see the face, which is very much in doubt, she could still give meaningful information about body type, etc. Sketch artists are expert at tweezing out information that the witness did not know that they had or did not intend to divulge.
To: Yeti
Could be, but if the ransom has been asked for, then what's taking so long to pay it?
To: Neenah
Can the family REFUSE to allow police to talk to Mary Catherine? No one has to talk to the police. Ever.
To: Yeti
There must be people around her 24/7 I would think.
To: Iwo Jima
Think of the $$$$ spent on helicopters, and police, if this Edmunds dude is NOT A SUSPECT.
The Milkman started this thing in the first place.!!!! Think about THAT.

The police have talked to Mary several times....her story is consistent, per SLC police
To: Iwo Jima
There is no reason not to have a sketch done -- none whatsoever. What if the girl saw him and knew exactly who he was?
To: Yeti
I haven't said it yet, and haven't read it yet, but I may as well get my theory out there. A ransom note has indeed been recieved, I said that at post #127 on this thread. All the rest is smoke and mirrors. And of course, a sketch of perp totally unnecessary when they already know who it is. Many little pieces fall into place when you postulate that they know who took Liz, but do not know where she is.
