VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) - A man described by a judge as "an evil monster" was sentenced to 25 years in prison for using a baseball bat, metal pipe and golf club to attack a 12-year-old Halloween trick-or-treater on his doorstep.

The common sense point of arming the pilots is to AVOID struggles for the cockpit. -- They shoot the bad guys as they try to come through the door.

A bullet through a fuselage can bring down an aircraft. It's one of the reasons why tasers were considered by the FAA.

To that end, maybe the best thing to happen would be to give this creature a suspended sentence. Get him out on the street/open... ;)
