The hunters generally prevail around here as well - and there are special rules for the farmers - when the critters start on the crops.
In addition to the geese we've also got a major deer problem here. Just this morning I saw a dead doe on the side of the road. That's the third one I've seen this month.
And yes I notify Fish and Wildlife when I see one - it got to the point where I've programmed their number into my cell phone!!!

I see 3-4 per day dead on the road. The last count estimates 1.3 to 1.8 million deer in the state, second only to Texas. And WI is a heck of a lot smaller than Texas. Now they're worried about cronic wasting disease which affects the brain, similar to mad cow disease. The DNR is planning to shoot 15,000 in the area that it has been discovered.
