Gramps have to be excellent story tellers.
It's in their job description. ;-)

Our three year old grand daughter loves to be read to. Since she could crawl, she would crawl over to her library in her home or our home and grab a bunch of books and bring them to us so we can read to her. Now she just walks over to her library and grabs a couple of books and crawls up in your lap and says "Read, please!"

Her brother is just the opposite, he gets bored when read to. So Grampa has to tell him stories without the book. Sometimes, I feel like I'm in the middle of a war zone.

She will be on one side pushing a book to me and saying "Read Papa!"

He will be on the other side trying to push the book out of her hands or grab it and throw it down while shouting "No!", his favorite new word.

It all works out somehow.
