Although I disagree with voting on this issue, at least the council is hearing arguments from both sides. Jeb Bush, King Roy Barnes, and Jim Hodges removed Confederate flags (not just battle flags) from displays in each of their states WITHOUT A VOTE.
In this case, I feel we should honor a fallen brother by leaving his memorial untouched - there ought not to be a vote; let Uncle Bill rest in peace.
I liked the vote in Mississippi. Seems that 40% of the blacks there had plenty more sense than most of the white yuppies in the north Jackson voting area.
The NAACP is just vainly trying to justify it's existence and makes noise. I hope Crestview nuts up.
