"There is no den in the wide world to hide a rogue. Commit a crime and the earth is made of glass. Commit a crime, and it seems as if a coat of snow fell on the ground, such as reveals in the woods the track of every partridge, and fox, and squirrel."

Interesting that they hauled in Mike Lynch from the left coast office. Horrifying that Chandra's remains are being discovered in bits and pieces week after week.

I heard a short report this morning on Fox and Friends about Elizabeth Smart's father being given a polygraph. Judge Napolitano stated it was routine for close family members and friends to be given polygraphs in missing person/abduction cases. My thought processes went straight to Gary Condit. I my mind he is the number one suspect in Levy's murder; however, the DC police are letting him skate. I believe if they hauled him in and put the pressure on him, he'd crack.

Excerpt from the WashPost re: the wire:
In other developments yesterday, an official with the National Park Service said that a wire found in the park near where most of Levy's skeletal remains have been recovered is not something the service uses in its landscaping work. Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey had suggested that the wire may have been used to support trees.

Cynthia Cox, assistant superintendent for Rock Creek Park, viewed a photo of the wire and said it is unlikely it was used to support plants.

"We would use heavier gauge wire, and we definitely have garden hose [around] the wire to protect the trunk of a tree," Cox said, adding that the service has not planted trees in that area of the park for at least five years.

However, Sgt. Joe Gentile, a D.C. police spokesman, said last night that a supervisor with the National Park Service saw the wire and suggested that the service may have used it to support a tree.

"We have to wait to have it analyzed to see if it has forensic value connected to the case," Gentile said.

The twisted wire, looped in a figure-eight with a knot tied in one of the loops, was found June 6 by two detectives working for the Levy family.

"I think this [wire] is significant, and I don't think it belongs here," Joe McCann, one of the two investigators working for the Levy family, said when the wire was discovered under a pile of leaves. He and investigator Dwayne A. Stanton also found a bone that turned out to be Levy's tibia.

The DC police reported today that private parties searching the Rock Creek Park area found several human bones, blood-stained clothes, an abandoned automobile, six hand-guns, a knife, two assault rifles, a box cutter, a wallet, a used condom, a "This is Condit Country" campaign flyer, an address book, an envelope of anthrax, Levy's ring and keys, photos, a stack of marked bills, a videotape, a signed confession, and other seemingly important items. However, the police indicated that "these are not clues at this time" and that they "didn't know how these items got here".

In a formal statement to the media, the police said: "Oops! Guess we missed a few things when we searched the area the first couple times for, uh... what was her name again?" When asked about how this reflects on the DC police, a spokeswoman said, "We have not determined what has happened", and that "if a mistake was made, we don't how it happened."

Congressman Gary Condit (D-CA) was also seen in the park yesterday. He was jumping up and down and waving his hands frantically while shouting "Over here, I did it, I did it." Eventually he was asked to leave by police community-service personnel. In a televised interview, a police spokesman said, "Mr. Condit, who is not a suspect at this time, was attracting a lot of media attention. He was asked to exit the area for his own personal safety and to preserve the integrity of a possible crime scene." Besides, we can't waste our time babysitting media celebrity has-beens when we're looking for donuts uh, ... a killer."

From the names "Gary Condit, Chandra Levy" it is very trivial to extract "Chiang." One can also extract both "Dayton" and "Lynch" with no overlap. What's in a name?

Oh, to use up every letter, I can still get:

1. Dayton, Lynch, rig cadaver."

Gravid! Dayton, Lynch care!

Gravid! Dayton, Lynch race.

Dayton, Lynch vie. Card, rag.

Dayton, Lynch, acrid grave.

Dayton, Lynch, caviar dreg.

Also yesterday, the grand jury probing Levy's death heard testimony from Mike Lynch, Gary Condit's chief of staff about the congressman's relationship with Levy.

Mike Lynch is a liar and he works for the father of all liars! BTW - We have not forgotten; Gary Condit's ROTTEN!

Wow, the DC police are hot on the trail, aren't they? Affirmative action and excessive donut eating are the prime suspects in this case, I'd say.
