It is not unheard of for a mentally disturbed suspect to commit suicide upon facing his first or even subsequent periods of incarceration.

Defendants who subsequently -- and posthumously -- were cleared of any offense have died before they could receive treatment for the condition that may have led to their erroneously being booked and held as suspects.

The guy in this case was awaiting trial and under the law was considered innocent until proven otherwise. As for correctly convicted killers......

I agree with the innocent until proven guilty theory, but when he was taken into custody and his home searched they found plenty of evidence, plus they had matched his DNA to 2 other murders recently committed.

The news reports don't go into detail, but these women were held captive in his home and tortured before they were murdered and dumped.

On a side note, this man and I believe all of his victims were black. I think statistically this is highly unusual in that most serial killers are white men if I'm not mistaken.
