A search of the web spit out this reference
http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/j/l/jlp163/
for a Jose Lenin Padilla at Penn State.
There is probably no connection but it's pathetic, nevertheless.

I bet this guy was a memeber of the El Rukins, the group that Khadaffi tried to contract in 86 87 to do a hit for him.
Any body hear anything about his gang affiliation.

What a poster child for the "Let's all forfeit our rights" movement.
Sure, he's a gang-banger and a catholic/islamic terrorist wannabe, so we can treat him as if he's not a US citizen and hold him without any 4th or 5th or 14th amendment rights.
Slippery slope time folks. First this loser loses his rights, then we lose ours.
We cannot beat Authoritarian Islamic dictatorships by becoming an Authoritarian dictatorship.

why don't we operate the state run prisions like we do the state run schools. No prayer or relgious meetings on the premises during official hours (which is 20 to life for most of them)Hey, good question. Where is the separation of church and state there? It appears that the church is good (even though in this case it may have been bad) for something at state run institutuions, why the double standard?
I'm no Christian by any stretch of the imagination but it sure does seem silly to kick God out of the public schools only to force God on those that fail (generally speaking of course) in the public school system.
Darn good question there Scannell!

Sorry if I sounded like I was accusing you of attacking Mexicans. Didn't mean to. There were at least four articles on FR today, and a couple of them referred to him as Puerto Rican. Here is
one.
It mentions his birthplace and further down, his Puerto Rican roots. This is not the best article, just the only one I could find at this time.

Actually the profiling and the random searches, are - if nothing else - making it much more difficult to bring illeagal things into the country and carry out illeagal acts in airports and on planes. FYI, profiling and random searches are two completely different things. We've been doing random searches, not profiling.

Under the guise of multiculturalism, our prisons have become state-funded madrassas and Islamic recruitment centers. Right. This needs to be looked into. We have a radical "religion" advocating mayhem, destruction, and murder, and they are allowed to recruit in US prisons? Simply outrageous.
To: Mad_Tom_Rackham
You are SO right. What better place for them to look for people willing to be violent than in prison.
Such a perfect set-up for them. It MUST stop.

Jose Padilla (let's dispense with the Arab alias) has facial features that I would identify as lower coastal Mexican, one of the country's indigenous types--remember Manuel Moreno, aka Cantinflas? In any case, I doubt Padilla's parents were born in the U.S. or even entered and remained legally. This brings me to the question: is being born here sufficient for citizenship? I say no. I believe other nations are rescinding this privilege. I'm a southwesterner with a visible if distant Mexican heritage whose ancestors acquired citizenship with the Gadsden Purchase so I don't consider myself any kind of a newcomer. I don't want the dregs of the globe draining my country of its prosperity and security! The pubbies are major culprits in this foreign invasion.

Jails are the Breeding ground for Anti-America for sure.
First - Fruit of Islam suck them in.
The HATE is not just deep enough.
Second - Go to Mecca of Hate and learn how to network with
the real criminals of history.

Jails are an excellent way to infiltrate the Jihad Network Incorporated.

Earlier today a caller called in to Fox responding to their question of the day.
He was very scarry. His response to the question "Do we feel safer or more secure since Padilla was captured?" was that Americans was still sleeping. That there were thousands more in the U.S. waiting for the time to destroy and rebuild America. He also said that he was taking a chance calling into the station, but wanted Americans to know that the time is now. He said if Americans were paying attention, that you could hear it in the words of wrap music. He was all excited that they would destroy America and soon.

Does he have a bigger surprise in store for the American public?

"this suspect doesn't fit the standard profile"You're right, I hadn't noticed--probably because I don't care; it doesn't make any difference. We need to be profiling.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
...went only as far as the planning stages. That's all I need. Beat all the info possible out of him, then give him the firing squad.

Jose Padilla, 31, also known as Abdullah al Muhajir...Here we have it--an American convert to islam, and he's already waging terrorist jihad against his own country!!! And he doesn't look Middle Eastern, so would fly underneath the "racial profiling" radar.
After Sept. 11th, when a large proportion of the country felt the need to learn about islam, tens of thousands of Americans had the wrong reaction to what they learned---they CONVERTED to islam!!!! (This is all thanks to the local mosques who ran those "understanding islam" sessions.) Without a good spiritual grounding, that's likely to happen. How many of those new converts are also candidates for Al Qaeda membership? Who knows. That's besides the great number of people who convert to islam in prison, like both the former Jose Padilla and shoe-bomber Richard Reid (whatever his islamic name is).
We need a lot more "understanding Christianity" sessions. For the masses of people who think that they know Christianity because its so "familiar" (but know next to nothing), perhaps they need to get these sessions in a less familiar setting--an Orthodox Christian church. That may prevent at least a few people from being seduced by the agents of da'wa (islamic "evangelism"), and lead them to Christ instead!!

I think you got it backwards. Shoot him then beat him.
To: miamimark
Ahem, are we to assume then that you have been booked into the Broward County jail?
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Works for me.
