People, this is far from over. I believe freedom will always win out over tyranny. They tried to steal in election in 2000 and we wouldn't let them, we're sure the hell not going to let them steal this country.

That is right, it is our obligation to protect freedom in this country and to defeat all enemies, foreign and domestic. I guess I had no hope until Free Republic and Sore Loserman campaign in election of 2000. That sure had turned things around for me, and I'm optimistic of our future.

I am in the minority that will fight for freedom, no matter how dire the situation may be. Are you all with me?!

"They are totally submissive to the many abuses by our corrupt government. I would even venture to say that most Americans don't understand the evils of communism,"

You are right on. 63% say they are willing to give up freedom/privacy to stop terrorism. Those that support the p.a.t.r.i.o.t. act ( I call it the Gestapo Law) do not answer me when I ask why do we need new laws when the devils of 9/11 violated laws against murder, laws against hostage taking, laws against hijacking, against theft and destruction of property. They crossed State lines which brought the crimes under Federal jurisdiction.

IMO, these laws are there for a future America and are just another broadside of the New World Order, but, what the hey, I wear tin foil hats so what do I know. The real danger is how this law is applied in the future when the likes of clintons and their ilk obtain power, and they will

Here's my reply to that 63% which gets me flamed no end

In the name of security

The patriot act sticks in my craw
because it’s really a Gestapo Law
now the FBI gets more powers
to spy on us for 24 hours

In the name of security

Let’s not forget history
of what happened in Germany
the majority went along
gathered together in throngs
embracing all the wrongs

In the name of security

Cameras here, cameras there
cameras everywhere
on the corners, in the mall
as our freedoms fall
attached to traffic lights
losing our privacy rights

In the name of security

Soon we’ll get ID cards
as they build more prison yards
they want us to watch the other guy
an entire nation to spy

In the name of security

Giving power to strangers,
to people we don’t know
presents future dangers
as their power continues to grow

In the name of security

Ben Franklin said it best
want to be like all the rest?
trade liberty for security
then, only those in power will be free

In the name of security

Some will say I’m paranoid
just making a lot of noise
don’t forget the FBI files
some of us are still riled

Justification has begun
we must keep terrorists on the run
in the name of security
you must give up your privacy

Give it up for security

I am. I have never been prouder than when we fought the theft of the 2000 election. We are as mad as hall and we're no going to take it anymore. We all need to be in this together. We also need to be so picky about who we choose as supporters. If some gays or RINOs or libertarians support the fight to push back communism in our country, I'll accept their hand. "whoever is not with me is against me.

We live under an oppresive tax system

We gave control of our children (andtheir minds)to publik skools

despite internet websites, talk radio, Fox News, Conservatve newsletters and magazines, etc., the media still remains hopelessly liberal and influences far too many Americans.

There are entire segments of society (racial, class, political affilliation, age) LOST FOREVER to the appeal of government handouts and false hopes of 'equality' and advancement.

Political Correctness (created by Communists) has, like a malignant cancer, spread so far into the inner workings of our daily lives, it would kill the host if it were extracted.

Our universities, which are supposed to prepare our best and brightest, have turned into little more than sleep-over indoctrination camps. It would take one hundred years (beginning today) to reverse the liberal/socialist/communist influence, if an all out effort was initiated. Which will NEVER happen.

The American have become dumbed down to the point of hopelessness. Every day our rights, freedoms, and even past times are being taken away from us--with no resistance. Schools are banning dodge ball, and Indian mascots. Cigarette taxes are pushing a pack up to 6 dollars, with no public outcry. Junk food is next. Then it will be bullets, pornography, designer clothing, cable, high speed internet access, sporting equipment, additional cars/trucks/SUVs per household, cell phones, in-car entertainment, etc.

The steps we took (or should I say empty gestures)after September 11th proved to the more observant of us (friend and foe alike)that America likely died years ago. But like a runaway train travelling full-speed ahead down the track, it takes a while to come to a complete stop, even after running out of fuel.

we weren't looking and a bunch of smelly dirt dwelling wipe-my-butt-with-my-left-hand arabs took over our planes with boxcutters and flew them into buildings. do you really want that to happen again? Go cry to the ACLU.

It isn't communism were are losing to. Communism has already lost it's dreams of world conquest and "none dare call" themselves communists anymore. We are losing to greed, sloth, glutony, and envy. We are losing to pride and prejudice. We are losing to ignorance and want. We are losing to anger and lust. We are losing to emotional outbursts and silent inner angst. We are losing to sin and sensation. We will willingly give in to totalitarian rule to keep from losing to anarchy. We are weak and deserve to be conquered by our fear of weakness. It is a king that we desire more than the judges ordained by God. Even communists fall prey to their own transgressions. Worse than communism is in the world. Resist!

Excuse me, I thought you said I was not worth jeering at this hour or any other hour in a previous post.

So, now I'm a member of the aclu now just becuase of my position against a dangerous law?

I dispise the aclu, but, if they happen to have the same position I have on this one, then, so be it.

Why are you so afraid of dissent? You have a thread asking JimRob to ban people like me who disagree with you position.
Perhaps you are really a liberal who cannot stand differences of opinion.

Why don't you challenge the content of what I say. If you can prove I am wrong, then I promise you, I will change my mind.

Why do you and people like you ignore what is said and resort to insults? Well, I won't play the name calling game.

FTR, I repeat, Pres Bush is my President and I never referred to clinton that way, rather, I referred to him as The President, however, when I see him embracing the democratic domestic programs, then I will put my two cents in. Haven't you noticed the billions of our dollars he's spending with the rubber stamp approval of the repub controlled house?

Doesn't it bother you that an incompetant fbi is being given more powers?

Don't the camera's intrusion into our lives bother you?

Well, even though I'm an old codger, those things bother me because I see a pattern of total gov't control on the horizon and the American people are buying into it! As long as gov't usurps the educational system, it will get worse. So, I wish you luck in your blind loyalty to a party rather than the concept of freedom and liberty. With gov't handouts comes gov't controls

we are losing to people who post long nonsense bits about how we are getting what we deserve. That is 'verbal diareha. Although you are saying some of the right words, but they don't mean anything coming out of your mouth. It's like watching bad English dubs of a Japanese martial arts movie.

This is pretty much what happened to Japan , where the Battle has been over for quite some time ... Liberal Democratic Party = Socialist Party . Japan has been a one party system since the war ended ...

Lets not get too depressed here. It is the nature of things that the battle is never done. Totalitarianism, rooted in envy and the will to evade responsibility, is always going to be with us. That is a fight that is never going to end.

But collectivism has seen itself roundly defeated over and over again in this century, so we have plenty to be proud of. If it is true that communism didn't die when the Berlin Wall fell, that the collectivist center of gravity has shifted to Brussels, and the American universities, it is nonetheless true that the Soviets are gone. Eastern Europe is, more or less, free. Russia is still in play, but the story there isn't all bad.

And the new battlefield is well defined, as several have pointed out in this string.

1. We have to take back the school system; we can not leave it in the hands of people who despise us.

2. We have to revive the 10th ammendment, to bring the bureaucracies closer to the people they purportedly serve, if they are not disbanded entirely.

3. We have to fight another civil rights struggle, or rather, to finish the earlier one, this time leaving us with a legal system that is truly color-blind, purified of the racial con-artists who forever try to game the system.

4. We need to develop our media organs. Fox News is only great in comparison to the others, but it is still too self-consciously bi-partisan, rather than being simply objective. Radio talk shows are great, the internet is great, but after building from the fringes, we need to find a way to take center stage. Articulate truth and stop apologizing for it.

Its frustrating when you realize that out of a quarter of a billion people, the last election came down to a few dozen vote margin in Florida. But for the integrity of a Black, Democrat judge in central Florida, who refused to throw out Republican votes, and but for the tenacity of Repub dweebs in Miami who refused to sit still for fraud, and except for the razor thin support of the US Supreme Court, the election would have gone the other way.

We know where the battlefields are. We know at least half the country is against us, but half the country is with us. We have seen worse odds.

Excuse me, I thought you said I was not worth jeering at this hour or any other hour in a previous post.
I'm trying to quit smoking, I need to vent.

did I say you were a member of the ACLU? now, I just said go cry to them. Let me ask you, would you rather be safe or dead? The libertarians (add 'al' between 'liber' and 'tarian' and 'your home free) don't mind dying as long as the terrorists civil liberties are upheld. The Government can spy on me. They won't find anything good. In fact, I can single handedly disrupt cointerpro by boring them to death. The short and long of it is that I know that I'm not doing anything wrong. I have nothing to fear. The ACLU defends people who have done wrong like NAMBLA (but dude, you want to have sex with kids) and Communists but feel that civil liberties protect them. When it gets to the point where the law is hampered by garbage whinners, I will side on the law. If everyone is protected from the law, why have the law? Is subversion like communist propaganda protected by the 1st ammendment? do we let Nazis and boyhumpers run this country? when is enough? where do we draw the line? when do we say enough is enough and take the country back? I'm sick and tired of every *sshole with a mouth thinking their opinion is worth hearing. We all know opinions are like *ssholes, everyone has one. (This is NOT a barb directed at you.) how many criminals have to go free in the name of civil liberties before you quit your crying?

I have no problem with dissent but when it's dissent that will get algore elected, I think we need to buck up and support our guy. No politican will do exactly what you want him/her to do. First, This is a representitive government and they have a lot of people beside you to represent. Secondly, this is a republic not a democracy because a democracy (aka 'mob rule')just wouldn't work with a country this size. The president may not follow your directions, but he is not supposed to . . . you voted him in (or maybe you voted for Browne)because you think he is the right person for the job. I have no phone with a direct line to the oval office. The President has no idea what I am thinking. I don't think he should. I voted for him to do the job, not to tell him how to do it.

Personally, I think the president has moved the country into more conservative realms and could be another Reagan. (A little known fact, Reagan didn't always get conservative consent. Now he is almost a saint and rightly so.) Think about this. when it comes down to it, who would you rather have a RINO or a liberal? At least a RINO, will uphold some core conservative values. Alan Keyes and Pat Buchanan will never get elected. You have to back the horse that wins.

As for your content and your poem, I will say no more than you should consult here.

So I pose the follwing question: did we really prevail in the war against communism?

No, actually we have lost the struggle that has been going on against the com for all these years. Communist dupes and sympathisers hold the majority of policital offices in this nation an they maintain a 95% majority of teaching positions in all the universities and law schools.

They beat us without firing a shot is what gets me the most. Americans didn't even put up a good fight.

I agree with you 100%. I think this country as we know it is soon to be finished. It's happened so gradually over a period of years that most people haven't even really noticed. Your post #4 is right on the money, sad but true.

I think about the Bolsheviks too, and the damage they are doing to us all. They do control the media, the universities, the immigration policies.....

They do indeed seem to have no conscience. I try to figure out what motivates them, which is difficult for a person who does not have that mindset. They seem to crave power, control, and the destruction of cultures and the positive aspects that keep a culture healthy and strong, such as religion, family and respect for life.

I sure won't flame you, and I am afraid as silly as it may sound now, that by hook or crook Hillary will be our next president. Even back when she was "questioning" running for the senate, I knew she would run, and I knew she'd win. I also knew she would wind up being president in short order. Of course we have a couple of years yet.

I suspect SOME of the younger FReepers don't see these things as much as the older ones do. They have lived most if not all of their lives under this system, and have been repeatedly brain-washed in school and by the TV to where they are not capable of thinking for themselves. They simply know no other way. The Powers That Be do their job quite well.

"Let me ask you, would you rather be safe or dead?"

I would rather be free than "safe". As for Bush's conservatism, yes, he has thrown a bone or two, but, the fact remains, he is spending billions of our dollars, he is increasing the government payroll, he is creating a police force in the guise of safety, but, I will give him and the people with him the benefit of the doubt, however, to test the value of any law, time must pass. A law that helps you today may come back to bite you in the future.

I also have nothing to hide ( I posted my full name at the end of my poem), but, I still don't want cameras everywhere I go and I won't be a spy for anyone. Don't you see the danger of this? If someone doesn't like you and reports you, then LE has to investigate. This means you are guilty until you prove otherwise.
And please, don't quote "you are innocent until you're proven guilty" clap trap because that is a legal term and only applies in a court of law, otherwise, you would not be incarcerated on a complaint only. As far as the police are concernd, you are guilty.

As for your referral relative to the link, what is the point of the link?

I write from my heart and my mind

I am anti-big government, not Anti-American and I voted for buchanan (he really turned to be a jerk IMO) I hold every one accountable for their action. I am not a libertarian, communist, republicrat,, democrat, etc.; etc.. I am an individual, nothing more, nothing less. I follow no person or group with blind loyalty and, tho, great speeches may move me, I await action not platitudes. clinton used to give great speeches and look what he did to our armed services. At least when he usurped the republican agenda it was, by and large, a conservative agenda, while Bush is usurping the liberal agenda.

I also wrote this. My loyalty is to my country, not lying politicians.

I Am The Eagle

I am the Eagle
striking with fury,
I am the judge,
I am the jury

You made a bad guess,
you attacked my nest,
you thought I was weak,
that you could wreak,
fear into my people,
thinking them feeble

You destroyed my towers,
now littered with flowers,
strewn with bent girders,
a reminder of your murders

What a mistake you made,
set yourself up for air raids,
thought to hide in your caves,
sent to your graves

You claim to be for peace
yet you refuse to cease
attacks upon the innocent
you are Hell bent

You’re not about peace
You’re about submission
You are a beast
A snake, hissing

I am the Eagle
you’ve ignited my fury,
I am now your judge,
I am now your jury

I am the Eagle,
you are the prey,
soon will come,
your judgement day
