She needs to be imprisoned just for making that stinking "Reality Bites" movie. It bit, all right!!!

As much as I enjoy trashing the Hollywood elite, I just can't bring myself to bash Winona...she's just too darn cute.

You are excused from jury duty, Mr. quebecois. You may go. ;-)

"..... I'm sure public sympathy is far more with Winona than some department store ....." That one comment from Andrew Nicoll, says it all about the Hollywood mentality. They are totally out of touch with work-a-day Americans who put in an honest day's labor for an honest day's pay and don't approve of thievery. If I stole Mr. Nicoll's vintage Jaguar convertible, I assure you he would not have such a cavalier attitude about theft. And neither would his insurance company.

What can I say? I have a weakness for dark-haired Jewish gals with pretty eyes (which can be a fairly trying and expensive hobby)

"The truth is, many people are rooting for Ryder, including her past and present employers, who say they'd hire her again in a second. 'She was a pro and a half every day,' says Sid Ganis, who produced her upcoming 'Mr. Deeds. Ben Stiller, her 'Reality Bites' costar, sent Newsweek a fax praising her family and calling her 'a good person.' James Mangold, director of 'Girl, Interrupted,' says, 'I think Nonie is deeply sensitive, deeply thoughtful. She loves puzzling and puzzling over things. She can get lost just in reading and thinking and listening to music.'"
The quotations from these people show why Hollyweird is so left/liberal/socialist/communist/democrat. They have no sense of right or wrong and are able to justify anything. Just another reason for me not to spend my money on going to a movie. Why support these types of people who spread their empty philosophy and political viewpoints via mass media?

"..... I'm sure public sympathy is far more with Winona than some department store ....." Someone should clue this idiot into reality. Everytime someone steals from that department store, it runs the cost up for the rest of us. And it's ot like she murdered someone? Some sins are mortal some are not . . . but THEY'RE ALL SINS. A crime is a crime.
I have absolutely no sympathy for Miss Winona. I, perhaps, would have a little for some poor, starving individual who stole an apple at the market because they hadn't eaten in three days, but not this one. No way.

Same here. As far as I know, that doesn't give me a license to steal. No, no, no ... you don't understand. She just simply forgot to pay at the register, see?
-Defense statement of Geragos-
I'd make a horrible juror in this case, (of course, I'd never get on, but at any rate), as I'd be biased as he** against her after seeing her make a mockery out of the whole situation on Saturday Night Live. Her little jokes about everyone looking at her funny, hidden cameras that caught her *stealing* Loren Michaels' coffee, shameful of her, considering she had not yet had a judge rule on going to trial. Shameful and incredibly stoopid.
