If Danielle was not sexually assaulted - why would she have been left naked? I'm serious - are there any reasons to leave a body naked but still wearing identifiable jewelry? I'm thinking something along the lines of sending a message to someone - but what would that message be?

Wasn't it originally said that Danielle went to sleep in a pair of pj's....then grandma showed those same pj's to the media....then it was claimed that the "2nd" pair belonged to a another child? That stuck me as odd.

I have no real idea, but one reason to leave a naked body that wasn't sexually assaulted would be to get rid of clothing that was covered with blood (DW's not Danielle's since she had no open wounds) or other DNA evidence (hair, dead skin cells, etc).
He could get rid of her clothes without sexually assaulting her. Conversely, he can also assault her and leave all of her clothes on. Since the PJs would have the evidence, I can't imagine he'd wash the little pajamas. Better they be burned or somehow destroyed.
